Dunstone’s latest call is for fresh American pizza

He may have built a £1.8 billion fortune by selling mobile phones to the masses, but Sir Charles Dunstone is developing a growing taste for the “fast casual” restaurant sector.

Two years after launching Five Guys, the American “better burger” chain, in Britain, the Carphone Warehouse co-founder will announce the signing of a joint venture today to bring the fast-growing MOD Pizza concept to Britain.

The telecoms tycoon is teaming up with Scott and Ally Svenson, the American couple who launched MOD Pizza seven years ago and have since built it into a chain of 69 restaurants across 12 states.
